Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Threadlark handles local game records, Apple subscription information, campaign measurement data and support emails you choose to send.“We,” “us” and “our” refer to the application provider identified on Threadlark’s Apple App Store product page. This policy applies to the Threadlark app and its support communications.Privacy contact: [email protected]1. Game records are not your private lifeThreadlark offers case investigations and standalone puzzle games.The phones, conversations, photographs, calendars and character details shown in cases are game content. They do not come from your real messages, contacts, photo library or personal calendar. The simulated interfaces do not read the corresponding private content on your device.You do not need to provide your real name or register a Threadlark account to play.2. Game records stored on your deviceThe app stores case progress, selected evidence, investigation notes, puzzle scores and preferences on your device so you can continue using it.These game saves are not uploaded to a game-save server managed by us. Please do not enter passwords, identity document numbers, card details or other sensitive information unrelated to gameplay in your notes.You can remove local records by deleting the app and its data. The iOS “Offload App” option may retain documents and data and differs from deleting the app.If you enable device backups, these records may be included in system backups. Their storage, restoration and deletion depend on your system settings and the relevant platform service. We cannot access or manage those copies for you.Keeping game saves locally does not mean that the app processes no other data. Subscription and third-party service processing are described below.3. Apple subscription informationSubscription purchases, billing and renewals are handled through Apple’s In-App Purchase system.The app uses necessary information supplied by Apple, such as product identifiers, transaction identifiers, purchase and expiration dates, and subscription status, to verify and restore access on your device. This subscription verification information is not uploaded to servers operated by us.We do not receive your complete payment card number, payment password or Apple account password. Apple’s processing for payments, transaction records and account management is governed by its own policies.Apple Privacy Policy:
https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/On-device verification and campaign event measurement are separate activities. If purchase or subscription event measurement is enabled, the relevant event data is handled as described in Section 4. On-device verification does not itself exclude such processing.4. Campaign measurement and third-party servicesThreadlark integrates services from Adjust and Meta (Facebook) to identify campaign sources, measure campaign performance and analyze related app events.Depending on the features enabled and your permission choices, these SDKs may process the following categories of data:(1) Device identifiers, such as the IDFA accessed after tracking permission is granted, and other applicable device or app identifiers;
(2) Device, app and network information, such as device model, operating system version, app version, IP address and language settings;
(3) Attribution and app event information, such as installations, launches, interaction times and related campaign sources. Where purchase event measurement is enabled, this may also include purchase or subscription events, amounts and currencies.SDKs may transmit this information directly to the relevant service providers. The information may be associated with a device or information held by third parties. Such processing is not “no data collection” merely because we do not operate our own receiving server.Processing that involves tracking across other companies’ apps or websites takes place only after the required permission is obtained. We require service providers receiving this information to comply with applicable data protection requirements.Further information about these providers’ practices is available at:Adjust:
https://www.adjust.com/terms/privacy-policy/Meta (Facebook):
https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/Third-party policies provide additional information. They do not replace our responsibility for Threadlark’s data practices or expand the permissions you have granted.5. IDFA and your tracking choicesThe IDFA is Apple’s device advertising identifier. It is not your name, phone number or Apple account password, but it can be used to associate a device with related activity.Before accessing the IDFA or performing tracking that requires permission, the app requests authorization through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework.You can decline permission or later manage Threadlark’s permission in your device’s Settings under Privacy & Security, then Tracking. Names may vary by system version.Declining tracking does not restrict normal gameplay, purchasing, restoring purchases or subscription access you have already obtained. Without authorization, we do not access the IDFA or use alternative identifiers or device fingerprinting to bypass your tracking choice.Turning off tracking does not necessarily stop all processing. For example, transaction processing needed to provide subscription access and legally permitted measurement that does not constitute tracking may continue.Withdrawing permission does not affect processing lawfully completed before withdrawal or automatically delete previously retained information. You may exercise relevant rights using the contact details in this policy.6. Support emails you choose to sendWhen you email [email protected], we receive your sending address, message and any files you choose to attach.We use this information to answer questions, investigate problems, handle subscription or privacy requests and conduct necessary follow-up. We do not use support emails to build promotional mailing lists or analyze your gameplay preferences.Our email provider processes messages as necessary for delivery, storage and security. Please do not send passwords, verification codes, complete payment credentials or other sensitive information unrelated to your request.7. Processing grounds, disclosure and international processingWhere applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information according to the activity involved on the basis of your consent, necessity to perform our service arrangements, legal obligations or legitimate interests permitted by applicable law. We do not substitute another basis for permission where tracking requires consent.Apart from the service providers described in this policy, we disclose information only as necessary to follow your valid instructions, comply with legal obligations or lawfully protect the rights and safety of users and other parties.Apple, Adjust, Meta and email service providers may process information outside your country or region. Where international transfers are subject to legal restrictions, the safeguards required by applicable law must be used and additional consent obtained where necessary.You may contact us for information about recipients and applicable safeguards relating to your information.8. Retention and securityLocal game records generally remain with the app’s data until you delete them or the system removes them.Support correspondence is retained for the time needed to handle the request, necessary follow-up and legal obligations, after which it is deleted or otherwise appropriately handled.Data processed by third-party services is retained according to the applicable service retention rules, our configuration and legal requirements. Retention should be proportionate to the processing purpose. This policy does not authorize indefinite retention.We use reasonable access restrictions and other safeguards to protect information under our control. No method of transmission or storage can guarantee absolute security.9. Your rights and younger usersDepending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, restrict or object to certain processing, obtain a portable copy and withdraw consent.You may submit requests through our support email. We will use identity verification proportionate to the request and respond within applicable legal deadlines. If we cannot fulfill a request, we will explain why. You may also complain to a competent data protection authority.Deleting local game data, withdrawing tracking permission and canceling a subscription are separate actions. None automatically performs the others.Younger users should follow the app’s age rating and applicable guardian requirements. We do not knowingly conduct consent-based tracking of children below the applicable age of digital consent unless the necessary parental authorization has lawfully been obtained and platform rules permit it.If you believe a child has provided us with unnecessary personal information, please contact support so we can investigate and take appropriate action.10. Changes and contactWhen our information practices change, we will update this policy and its date and provide appropriate notice of important changes. Where renewed consent is required by law, we will request it before the relevant processing begins.A policy update does not automatically authorize a new use of previously received information that is incompatible with its original purpose.The Chinese and English versions are intended to have the same meaning. Translation differences will not reduce your rights under applicable law.For privacy questions or rights requests, contact:[email protected]
